Palm Beach in Paros, a rare environment

2-oct-19.jpg

Palm Beach in Paros is also known by its original name, which is Agia Irini. However, visitors of Paros and local people know it by both names. Palm Beach is the name of restaurant situated on the beach and Agia Irini is the small chapel built in the bay.

Palm Beach in Paros consists of powdery sand and it has few characteristic features. The first one is of course palms. However, you should not think of exotic scenery. There are about 10 of them. Yet, this is quite rare Cycladic environment. The second characteristic feature of Palm Beach is its width. Yes, this is probably the narrowest beach on Paros Island. On one side there is the sea and on the other a short wall. You can hardly lie among those two, yet it attracts many visitors. Behind the small way you will find a proper beach infrastructure. Sunbeds, umbrellas and service are those things which will make your stay on Palm Beach more comfortable.

As you can see in the photo, you will have dining options here. Therefore, you should not worry about bringing picnic basket with you to Palm Beach in Paros. You will have an option to have lunch under the palms and next to the sea as well.

Due to the fact that from a certain point, the road is a little bit rough, you could use one of our SUVs. That point is when you turn right and off the asphalt road. You should be careful as well due to the fact that, although this leg is two way street, it fits only one car. Additionally, we suggest you use GPS in order to not miss the turn.

Location

You will find Palm Beach on the west coast of the island, 7 km away from Parikia, the capital of Paros and 16 km away from Naoussa.
