Did you know that Kolymbithres beach in Paros, is one of the island’s natural ornaments? Therefore, if there is one beach you should see in Paros, it is Kolymbithres and you can use any car of our fleet to get there.
Location
Kolymbithres beach Paros is situated in Naoussa Bay, on the north side of the island. It is quite easy to get there because the road consists of asphalt. If you are staying in one of the two famous locations, Parikia or Naoussa, distances are small. Kalymbithres beach lays 11 km away from Parikia and 4 km away from Naoussa. Due to the fact that it is located in a large bay, waves are not an issue here. Therefore, it is one of many options if the weather is windy. Additionally, it is useful to know that there is a large parking on the beach. Yet, during full season, it could be crowded so you might need to park on the side of the road.
Access
There are two ways to get to Kolymbithres beach. First one is of course by road, which is quite straight forward. The second one is more interesting and adventurous. We are referring to the ride on caique boat from Naoussa port. Caique or Kaiki is the traditional fishing boat used in Aegean Sea. In this case however, these boats are modified to transfer people. So first you have to get to Naoussa. Afterwards, walk towards the small bridge and the starting point of caique boats is almost across it. Departure schedule during season peak for Kolymbithres beach is about every 30 minutes.
Kalymbithres is a blend of two main sandy beaches and artistic rocks between them. For a period of millions of years, wind and water sculpted those rocks to impressive shapes. This process continues even today. Two main beaches consist of powdery sand and they feature sunbeds, as well as umbrellas. You can order a coffee or a refreshing beverage and enjoy sunbathing. Due to landscape variety of Kolymbithres, you can find here small beaches, less than two meters wide. Therefore, if you get there early, it would be like you are on your own private beach. Close to Kolymbithres, there is a tavern, if you wish to stay for dinner.
If you go to Kolymbithres using one of our cars, you can continue afterwards towards Paros Park and Monastiri beach. This is another area of Paros, protected from human intervention.
