Insurance Terms – Cover Packages:

Essential Insurance * (included in the basic rental):

• Third Party Liability Insurance
• CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) with excess depending on the car category.

Silver Insurance * – SCDW (includes extra from the Essential package):

• SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) with very low excess depending on the car category.
• PAI : Personal Accident Insurance for the driver
• Accidental Fire insurance with Excess depending on the car category.
• Full Theft insurance with Excess depending on the car category.
• Windows, mirrors and windshields insurance with 200 Euros Excess
• Tires, rims, wheel covers, hubcaps insurance with 200 Euros Excess

Gold Insurance * – FDW (includes extra from the Silver package):

• FDW (Full body Damage Waiver) – zero excess for normal cars. Low Excess for Premium/Luxury.

Peace of mind insurance

• PAI : Personal Accident Insurance for the driver
• Accidental Fire Insurance without excess.
• Theft insurance without excess.
• Windows, mirrors and windshields insurance with 100 Euros Excess
• Tires, rims, wheel covers, hubcaps insurance with 100 Euros Excess
• Interior car damage (torn or soiled seats or upholstery, dashboard damage, media systems, saltwater damage, etc.) with 150-euro excess

Platinum Insurance * – FDW (includes extra from the Gold package):

• FDW (Full Damage Waiver) – zero excess for normal cars. Low Excess for Premium/Luxury.

• Zero Excess for Windows, mirrors and windshields
• Zero Excess for Tires, rims, wheel covers, hubcaps
• PAI : Personal Accident Insurance for the driver
• Accidental Fire Insurance without excess.
• Theft insurance without excess.
• Interior car damage (torn or soiled seats or upholstery, dashboard damage, media systems, saltwater damage, etc.) with 100-euro excess
• No deposit required

• 10% discount coupon for any future booking with the Ultimate package

The amounts of Liability and Security deposit for each category of vehicle and for each insurance package are clearly shown in the Table  below

Not covered by any insurance package:

✗ Drivers that are not declared on the rental contract or are outside the rental age limits (20 – 78).

✗ Damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle.

✗ Damage to or loss of the tires, rims, hubcaps, wheel covers.

✗ Damage to the car while driving under influence of alcohol or drugs or while driving in disregard of the Greek Traffic Law or driving in an unsafe manner.

✗ Damage to the car from driving off road (beaches, dirt roads, unpaved roads, etc.)

✗ Misfuelling.

✗ Depleted battery.

✗ Loss or damage to accessories/equipment (antenna, baby seats, electronic equipment, keys, etc.)

✗ Interior damage like spillage or tears or soiled seats and upholstery.

✗ Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) for drivers: this is usually covered by your travel insurance.

✗ Accidents occurring in parking areas, ports, airports, inside ferries or on private roads.

✗ Accidents involving commercial trucks and vehicles used for communal purposes, such as removal or moving trucks, municipal trucks, commercial delivery vans, courier trucks, trailer trucks, dump trucks, garbage trucks, carriers, and refrigerator trucks.

✗ Roadside assistance cost due to the above.

✗ Traffic violation fines

✗ Incident Handling fee.

If I have my own insurance, am I covered? What should I do in case of an accident?

As a rule, rental agencies do not interfere with clients’ insurances, other than the ones offered by the Rental agency itself.

If you have your own insurance through your credit card or travel insurance which may cover you, you must be sure to check all the terms and conditions of the insurance and make sure that it covers you for any car rental damage while renting a car abroad.

In the unlucky event of a collision, there should be a file report of the accident or Police report, and you must request a damage assessment form from our company. You have to pay the amount of damage to our office and with the accident report and the damage form from us, you will be able to file your claim for reimbursement of costs from your card issuer or your travel insurance.
